Wall-E

  1. Wall-E is an animated film for children, but adults will have fun watching it, too. The film is about robots and humans, in more or less 700 years. Part of the film takes place on earth, some scenes are set in a spaceship many kilometers away from earth.
The main character of the movie is a robot. His name is Wall-E and he is the last one on earth. All humans have left earth on a big spaceship with all their helpful robots, because all places are covered with trash and garbage, no trees and plants are growing there anymore. Wall-E’s job is to clean a big city. He is doing his job quite well, but one day changes his whole life. The day starts normal, but while he is tidying up he finds a plant. Walle collects many interesting things like a bra or a pocket lighter. So he thinks the plant could be interesting and he takes to his home and hides it in a his shelter. In the evening of that day, a big spaceship lands near Wall-E’s home. He is frightened, although a beautiful robot leaves the spaceship. He starts to talk to her, her name is Eve and the two robots become friends. Later Eve notices the plant. She takes it into a part of her body and returns on her spaceship. Wall-E follows her secretly and the spaceship sets course for another spaceship. Inside, there are all humans, but they have changed much. They got too fat for walking, so they sit in a robot wheelchair watching movies and they don’t talk to each other. All humans depend on robots, because they make their lives easier and possible. Eve brings the plant to the captain who is able to recognize the message the plant wants to tell: Life is possible again on earth. He declare to all passengers that they will return home. But the robots start to have their own mind and they begin a fight against the captain, Walle and Eve.
I liked that everybody will realize that the history isn’t realistic. The story is exaggerated, the people looks too fat and the robots too human. It makes the film funny, but it also shows possible consequeces of our lifestyle. The passengers are fixed on their televisions and they forget the important things like friendship, fun or even love.
Another thing I liked about the movie is the fact that the robots behave in a very human way. Wall-E feels lonely on earth, he is looking for a friend. He gets sad while he watches old movies. Every emotion Wall-E feels you are able to understand because of his eyes. He isn’t saying a word but you can understand his feelings. You don’t have to guess what he is feels you just know it while watching.
The way I see it is that the movie is made for everybody. Not just children could watch it also teenagers and parents will have fun watching it. But the film also makes you think about your lifestyle. Do you want to end up like the fat passengers of the spaceship without friends and family? I really like the film and I will arward it 8 points.
