The film ''The Kite Runner'' is a novel about rich boy Amir and poor boy Hassan. Hassan is the son of Amir's fathers' servant. Amir's mother died at his birth and Hassan's mother is also dead. The story takes place in Afghanistan before the Soviets invasion in the 1970s. The story is about how the two boys grow up together. They were best firends when they were young. The biggest hobby of them is flying their kites and kites them after they cut the strings of other kites. Hassan helps Amir in every situation but Amir hasn't got the courage to do the same. When Hassan is chasing one of the kites, some older boys chase him and abuse him while Amir watches from a distance. After that the friendship of the boys brokes and Amir mades sure that Hassan and his dad have to leave them. When the Soviets invade Afghanistan Amir and his father flee to America. Some years later, shortly after the death of his father, Amir gets a call from a good friend of his father, he tells him to visit him. When Amir arrived the friend tells him that Hassan has been shot by the Taliban, and his wife also. Hassan's son is in the hands of the Taliban. The friend also tells him that Hassan is Amir's brother. When Amir realises this, he frees his nephew and takes him to Amerika with him. The film has very great actors especially the boys who play young Amir and Hassan are great. You see that they have very much fun during the production. Another thing that makes this film so fantastic is the scenery. The cities look like like real cities in Afghanistan and the mood is nearly the same as you imagine it. In my opinion this is a very good film. I read the book 3 years ago and I liked it very much. Now I've watched the film after the book and my opinion is still the same. There isn't so much action in the film, but I think that makes it special compared to other movies. I would give this film 8 out of 10 points and recommend everybody to read the book and watch the film.
