The thriller “Munich” is based on the book “Vengeance” and has been inspired by real events. During the Olympic Games of 1972, 11 Israelis are killed by Palestinians at the beginning. In the film, the Israelis want revenge and instruct 5 men to do this. The first Palestinian is shot by 2 of them, the second is killed with a bomb inside his phone. The third is struck down by a bomb under his bed, and the groups leader is almost killed, too. The next three men are shot down by a few men, who go to a hotel and enter the rooms. The Israelis plan to kill the 7th terrorist with a bomb inside a TV, but the bomb doesn’t work, so one man goes inside and throws a grenade under the TV to activate the bomb. Two attempts to kill the Palestinians heading man go wrong; between these attempts three of the five men are killed; one by a dutch woman, which is killed by the others after that, the next is killed on a bench with a knife, and the last dies in a explosion while building bombs, but it doesn’t come clear, if it was a accident or others planed this. After the last attempt the leading man has “holidays”, he goes back to his wife and to his child. But he isn’t sure if someone wants to kill him, and he decides not to come back and finish his job. At the beginning of the story, the protagonist has no problems with killing other people for revenge. During the movie he’s thinking about the conflict between the Israelis and the Palestinians, and at the end he sees, that the conflict will never end, if they always want revenge, so he doesn’t go back from “holidays”. Also he doesn’t want to kill other people anymore.
At first I want to agree with your summary because you mentioned all the important things and I understood everything. But in my opinion you could write it a little bit better and don't just list all the happened things.
So I think Steven Spielberg did a very good job and after you watch this film you really have to think about the story and the conflict between the Israelis and the Palestinians. Also the protagonist and all the other actors act very well in every situation and make the story always exciting!
I would recommend this film to all the persons who like action films with a story based on a real event. But even though the good quality I would not watch it again because of the brutality and all the scenes where a human has to die!
Well i think you listed up the story pretty well, even if its not that interesting to read. Furthermore i would like to know what you think about the film and if u you would recommend it to someone. So for me the film was pretty thrilling to watch and i really were interested in how the film is going on the whole time. Furthermore it makes me think about if it always helpful to try to get revenge for something bad being done or if it sometimes would be better to simply accept it. Still the film is pretty brutal, so i really would only recommend it to persons who i know from that they got no problems with that much brutality shown in a film, but for them i'd say it's a very good one.
