The film „O BROTHER, WHERE ART THOU“ by the Coen brothers is a comedy about the flight of 3 prisoners, Everett Ulysses Mogill, Deimar and Pete, which ends in an odyssey to find Everett's wife. It starts with the 3 prisinors escaping from their imprisonment, and them starting to search for a treasure which Everett hid after his last raid. On their way they meet some guy called Nelson, who helps them to escape the sheriff, who hast started chasing them. With Nelson they raid a bank and get back to their search right after it. Later on, they get to know that there is no hidden treasure and that Everett is actually only trying to get back to his wife. In the end they are pardoned by the governour bcause they help him to win the elections. It is not really the type of film I like since it was made to look pretty, old and the whole sound track is some kind of country and blues music, which are not excatly my favourite kinds of music. Still, the film was pretty funny and interesting to watch because the actors do a great job, everything fits together, and the film is some sort of new type to me since it is not the standard action, crime or comedy film. I would personally rate the film: 6/10, while it would be 8/10 as an objective rating for a guy who doesn't dislike blues as much as i do
The film "OH BROTHER, WHERE ART THOU" contains a lot of action, comedy and music. The way I see it, your review is a bit cursorily and you don't really animate others to watch the film this way. But you represent your own opinion in a great way and I think it's good that you distinguish your personal ranking with an objective ranking. A great aspect of the film is the music . When you see the prisinors while they are working, you can hear them sing in a way that sounds like music from black people, something like "call & response" . As I see it, the film has also a grat score when there are scenes with lots of action. You can hear nearly every hit and so you feel like you are in the film. I agree with you, when you say the actors do great work! I think this is one of the things that makes the film interesting, especially one actor is popular, he's called George Clooney. All in all I would give the film 8/10 points because it is a funny film with interesting music and action. I would also advise this film to others.
This film is, as the others already said, a mix of action and comedy. I also think that this music is very suitable. To the first comment I have to say that I also do not like country or blues music, but I think it easily fits very well to the movie. The actors, especially George Clooney, played fantastically, because they all had to play their characters, that they seem a bit crazy. To sum up I would give him 8 out of 10 points because of its humor and action and I would really advise him to other people to watch it.
